Brunch Wedding at The Camby

Dana and Mike’s brunch wedding at The Camby was such a special day. The couple have been together since October 2018 and they were actually set up on a blind date! They were set up by a brother/sister-in-law and sister! Mike is friends with the brother/sister-in-law and Dana is friends with the sister! They thought we would be a great match and made the introduction. Dana and Mike went on our first date at True Foods Kitchen at The Biltmore Mall, right across from The Cambry where they got married. They got engaged in the middle of an ice storm that knocked out power in Lake Oswego, OR. After getting engaged, they returned to our friends’ driveway where they had a block party with the food from everyone’s fridge/freezer over a fire pit! It was warmer outside than inside everyone’s homes.

They decided on The Camby as their venue they love that it is a mix of fancy and modern with a bit a whimsy, just like them! The food was also delicious! Their day was full of good memories, good food, and smiles to last a lifetime.

Throughout the day the couple incorporated Jewish traditions that are important to them. They had challah and wine, danced the hora and were lifted up in chairs, as is tradition! The ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony complete with chuppah and smashing the glass.

To celebrate their brunch wedding, the couple had a donut display and mimosas. They also had signature drinks, a mango margarita for the bride and an old fashioned for the groom. The couple danced away and had the most wonderful brunch wedding at The Camby!
