Desert Botanical Garden Wedding

Baylee and Jake’s Desert Botanical Garden wedding last April celebrated love, laughter, and family.

Here is the couple’s story in Baylee’s words:

“We have been together for 5 years but have been best friends for 10. We met in college at San Diego State University and our first date was a Chance The Rapper concert. Jake proposed to me on a beautiful hike under the Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. It was special because I’m from Mesa, AZ! Jake and I love the venue because of the beautiful desert landscape. We are very outdoorsy people so we knew we needed a special place that reflected that. I’m looking forward to being surrounded by all my loved ones and being able to start our new lives together as The Ericksons!”

The couple exchanged private first vows prior to the ceremony which was such a special moment. With no first look, it was on to the ceremony officiated by Baylee’s grandfather. Jake’s reaction to Baylee walking down the aisle is one of our favorite moments! The raw emotions are so evident and show the love between these two. During the ceremony the added soil to a plant together for a unity ceremony. These two bring so much joy to each other and to everyone around them. Just look at the photos of them during the recessional in their just married moment!

Following the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party took gorgeous portraits. When you have a Desert Botanical Garden wedding, there is no shortage of stunning photo backdrops! The gorgeous reception decor included a unique seating chart. They designed an antique card catalog filled with flower seed packets that had the guests names and table number. It was such a unique display and guests loved it! Following dinner, some emotional toasts, dances, and cake cutting, it was time to hit the dance floor! As you can see in the photos, the bubble machines were a huge hit on the dancefloor at the end of the night! The newlyweds along with their guests had the best time dancing and the bubble machines were the cherry on top!
